We’re hiring for seasonal help in the garden center, greenhouse and nursery, as well as full-time positions in our lawn and landscape department. Retail Positions

Please read below for descriptions of our retail positions. Physical work is to be expected and walking is a must. Plan to be able to stand for 6+ hours, walk 3 to 5 miles, lift plants, soil, and pottery. Ages 15+ are welcome to apply. 

Garden Center

We’re looking for fun, energetic people to join the garden center team! Our team works in the gift shop, assisting customers with questions, checking people out, and more. We are typically known as the first point of contact for everyone who visits Culver’s, making sure they’re able to find what they’re looking for. Not only do we answer the phones and run the registers, but we also get to unbox new product, work on fun projects, and collaborate with one another to create unique displays around the store. If you’re looking for an upbeat work environment with great co-workers, the garden center might just be the place for you!

Greenhouse

Join the greenhouse team and experience the spring in a whole new way! Passionate plant lovers are a bonus, but if you’re willing to learn, love to be outside and work hard, then let’s talk! Daily greenhouse tasks include helping customers, restocking plants, and showcasing new plant designs. We do a lot of cleaning, planting, and making sure our plants are at their best. If getting your hands a little dirty excites you, then consider joining our seasonal team!

Nursery / Perennials

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to help someone create the yard of their dreams? Consider joining our nursery team! In this department, we help people find the perfect trees, shrubs & perennials to make their homes beautiful. When we’re not working with customers, we can be found watering, pruning, creating beautiful display beds, or operating machinery. Our nursery team welcomes creativity and gives you the opportunity to learn more about the industry. People with a background in horticulture find themselves at home in our department, but previous experience is not required. We’re happy to teach you along the way! Anyone who is energetic, willing to learn, and loves to be outside is invited to apply.

Lawn & Landscape Positions

Please read below for descriptions of our lawn & landscape positions. All positions entail physical work in an outdoor environment. Crew members must be able to lift 75+ pounds and work 40 hours per week. Compensation is based on experience and is very competitive within the industry. Snow Removal Employment Opportunities

Position includes the removal of snow from driveways and parking lots for various residential or commercial properties according to the specified contracts. We're currently hiring plow drivers, equipment operators, and sidewalk crews. Compensation is based on experience, but ranges from $25 - $35/hr. Snow removal requirements include maintaining the highest level of integrity and professionalism, as well as a clean and safe job site, while ensuring current landscape and property is not damaged in the efforts of removing snow. Snow removal technicians must proficiently and safely use snow removal equipment such as shovels, plows, snow blowers, and other power and manually operated tools and equipment used to perform snow removal. Must also perform highly physical work outdoors on a consistent basis in all weather conditions, specifically very cold, icy, snowy weather. It is required all Snow Removal Technicians have cold weather gear and wear it appropriately to protect themselves against adverse weather conditions. Must be willing to work over night, nights, weekends and holidays.

Mowing

Culver’s is a full service lawn care and landscaping company looking to add mowers to our team. We are looking for people to safely operate and maintain commercial grade lawn care equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other relevant tools. Our team performs mowing, trimming, and blowing off hard surfaces on residential and commercial properties. Culver’s needs someone who can work on their own and/or with other team members and can work quickly but still maintain a high quality of work. 

Hardscape

Responsible for hardscape construction. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to assist with hardscape constructions. You will be responsible for constructing retaining walls, interlocking brick, fountains and waterfalls, stone garden paths, etc. You will also utilize hand tools, power tools and other necessary equipment to complete job tasks. You will perform other manual duties to clean and maintain landscaped environments, as well as follow directions from foreman.

Landscape

Tasks include planting trees, shrubs, flowers and bulbs; Laying sod or seed, grading soil and tree staking. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to assist with landscape constructions. You will utilize the necessary equipment to complete job tasks and transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, etc. You will also perform other manual duties to clean and maintain landscaped environments, as well as follow directions from foreman.

Site Repair

Responsible for repairing sites after a landscape or hardscape job is completed. Tasks include replenishing dirt, grading for proper water drainage and installing new seed or sod. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Crew members will utilize proper landscape equipment and heavy machinery needed to complete the task at hand. You will also perform other manual duties to clean and maintain landscape environments, as well as follow directions from foreman.
